The Glendale Historical Society Presents: The Secret Gardens of Forest Lawn—Glendale, Part 2
March 23 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The second segment of this two-part event exploring the memorial park’s landmark gardens invites guests on a caravan tour of Forest Lawn’s historic grounds during which they will uncover little-known facts about the 100-plus year history of the memorial park. Stops on the tour include The Garden of Honor and The Gardens of Memory, locked gardens rarely open to the public, as well as the Meditation Garden at Wee Kirk O’ the Heather Church. The tour portion of the event concludes with an outdoor wine and cheese reception, and guests are invited to view Forest Lawn Museum’s permanent collection and to see Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment, an exhibition that is organized and traveled by the National Geographic Society.
The event commences at Forest Lawn—Glendale’s Little Church of the Flowers.
