About the Academy

Forest Lawn created its Academy of Mortuary Science to train and equip students in the mortuary/funeral service field for a successful career.

The Academy provides hands-on experience with pay, tuition assistance, and potential future employment opportunities, while fulfilling the funeral service and embalming clinical requirements of the program.

Any student currently enrolled in an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited mortuary school program is eligible to apply.

Forest Lawn is proud to offer this program to those who will carry on the great tradition of excellence in funeral service and care.

Requirements

Students interested in participating:

Have or maintain a 2.0 GPA and be in a good academic standing
Currently enrolled in at least nine units of a Mortuary Science Program
Have a valid California Driver’s License
Complete an employment application
Complete and pass pre-employment requirements as part of the offer of employment
