This time of year can tend to be a little overwhelming.  The holidays are a distant memory, but the stress (and even the bills) hasn’t faded away quite as quickly.  Storms are a looming threat, traffic is extra busy again…the list goes on and on.  All of it can add up to a lot of hustle and bustle.

To get away from it all, we’d like to invite you to visit one of our beautiful memorial parks to take in the beauty, the great artwork, and perhaps visit a family memorial. To help make the experience more convenient, we’ve developed a new Forest Lawn smart phone app that is available for free.  Simply download it here: https://forestlawn.com/app/.

The Forest Lawn app allows you to search for has search for the location of a family member or friend’s memorial. Just select the park you wish to visit, touch the “search” icon and type in the name. The app will give you the location and guide you there via GPS.

Currently the app also provides two art tours for Forest Lawn-Glendale. One of the tours takes you throughout the park where you can see and read about the many art treasures on display, beginning at the entrance gate, which features the world’s largest wrought iron gates, and working your way all the way to the top of the park where the Hall of the Crucifixion-Resurrection features Jan Styka’s panoramic masterpiece. The other tour focuses on the works inside the Great Mausoleum where Michelangelo’s greatest works have been reproduced in brilliant Carrara marble, and the new presentation of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” recreated in stained glass is shown daily.

Art tours of other Forest Lawn memorial-parks will be added in the future.

So take a few minutes and download the free app and let us know what you think. We trust it will be something you will find helpful this holiday season and in the months and years ahead.
