Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Tis the seasons for shamrocks and leprechauns to rule the day!

Cities such as New York and Boston will host fun-filled parades, and a lot of corned beef and cabbage will be consumed. Nearly everyone will be wearing something green, the color most often associated with the holiday.

Speaking of green, it’s also the color most associated with Forest Lawn.  More than 100 years ago, we set out to create something very different than the cemeteries of the day. Forest Lawn was designed to become a place with towering trees and sweeping lawns that would comfort and soothe those who entered our gates. We planted thousands of evergreen trees and shrubs to bring beauty to our parks, and stay fresh and green year round so that our guests may enjoy and be uplifted whenever they visit.

In the spirit of this holiday that is all things green:

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
