Revealing the history behind the iconic art and architecture of Forest Lawn, the exhibition includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, stained glass, maps, archival photographs, and more, which are drawn primarily from Forest Lawn Museum’s permanent collection. Some of the objects are more than 100 years old, and many of the artworks have never before been exhibited.

Highlights of the exhibition include original architectural renderings from the 1930s and 1940s, a series of pictorial maps that depict the park as monuments were gradually added, archival photographs of hand-painted billboards, and a marble copy of the Venus de Milo that Forest Lawn acquired in the 1920s.

The exhibit is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10 AM-5 PM.

Forest Lawn Museum is located within Forest Lawn-Glendale (1712 S. Glendale Ave, Glendale, CA 91205). Enter the main gate on Glendale Ave and follow signs to the top of the hill. Admission is free and there’s plenty of free parking!
