The mausoleum was built as a continuation of the Early American Federal style of architecture that has been well established at both Forest Lawn and the City of Cypress. Our founder, Dr. Eaton, adopted this distinctive style as an expression of our nation’s pride and patriotism following the success of World War II. Today, this architectural masterpiece is the bold next step that continues his vision.
The Patriots Chapel is the landmark centerpiece of the mausoleum. It seats 180 people and features a magnificent stained glass window of the Liberty Bell, an Italian marble floor medallion, pendant lights, and a spectacular chandelier — all under a breathtaking dome.
